A strong second half defense by the Fillies would help Shallowater extend their season one more game. Hill's 23 point performance advances the Fillies to the regional quarterfinals Tuesday night against Spearman
Whitley Beedy would score the opening six points of the game without an answer from Shallowater, but the lead didn't last long as the Fillies went on a unanswered eight point run to end the first period 12-11.
"I thought we played very good in the first half, especially in the first quarter." said Floydada head coach Mark Styles.

Floydada only trailing by one would continue to play close until late in the first half when Shallowater went on a 11-3 run to end the half 27-19.
"Our theory and it always has been, if you play as hard as you can and have fun with your teammates, everything will take care of itself." coach Chuck Darden said. "we knew that we had to get it all rolling tonight against Floydada and we hung in there."

"Anytime you loose a player who is on a roll it hurts, Whitley was on a
roll and it hurt us late in the game." said coach Mark Styles. "I thought these girls improved all year long, and it was a history making season." "I've always heard there is joy in the journey, and we enjoyed the whole ride."
